Skating in the City

Ice Skating in the city is becoming an annual event for the winter holidays in our house. The girls were eager to skate again this year. While I was at work, Andy and the girls caught the bus into town. The weather was not very kind with rain sprinkling down for most of the time however this did not hamper their spirits.

The session began with a short production of 'Cinderella' performed by a groups of teenage ice skaters. With their ice skates on, Ella headed straight over to the railing, keen to remember what this skating business was all about and soon she was doing laps by herself. Meanwhile Katy took hold of a penguin and shuffled her feet back and forward. With some coaching from Andy, Katy was soon skating semi independently at her own pace.

Post ice skating, a much needed hot chocolate and coffee helped to thaw everyone out!
