Baby Issac

A double header weekend of orienteering meant a double dose of baking for the Blue Lighting Squad. Two soups and 4 fours cakes / biscuits were whipped up for the events. At Issac Ridge, Al found a baby joey out on course. It was so small that it couldn't stand up! Deciding that it would need some care Al brought the joey back to the arena where there was a plethora of girls wanting to nurse it! After a few phonically, Al dropped Issac off to a animal rescue organisation who would care for him.

Life Plodding Along

While Andy was overseas for 3 weeks in the UK and Berlin, life in Canberra continued to plod along. The girls were entertaining themselves during the holiday wile I was at work.

While the windscreen on the car was being replaced, Ella and I began the process of looking for formal dresses. We were completely unsuccessful in Fyshwick but dropped into a shop in Manuka on the way home.

Ella tried on several different styles. The shop owner was lovely in her advice and Ella was very keen on one dress but it was the wrong size.

Meanwhile Ella tried on dresses from friends including this one.... which may look familiar to those who came to our wedding - our bridesmaids wore it!!

Indi is well and getting fluffier. The recent sunsets at Tuesday might intervals have be awesome - although Indi might not appreciate them as much as I do as she if often more concerned about spotting rabbits...

Park Run Shenanigans

The girls opted to do park run at Weston Park as orienteering pauses for the winter school holidays. A gorgeous morning and great running conditions greeted us. Katy and Mira were extra speedy running sub 23mins for the 5km. Ella also ran a PB coming closer to crack 25mins.

It's always dangerous sign your photo to your children... here's some photos I discovered for that morning. Love the angles girls!!!

Welcome to Angel

Sadly the other morning Katy woke up to find that Pilot (her budgie) had died overnight for reasons unknown.

This morning after orienteering Katy bought home a new budgie home named Angel.
