Ticking off Little Things

We are still crossing off the little jobs on the reno list. Recent changes include -

handles!!

shelves up in the girls rooms (photos to come),

brackets on the downpipes,

painting the flue,

more screws in the door hinges,

insulation check,

silicone around the mirrors,

and the list goes on a little longer but I'm sure you get the picture.

We also manage to keep adding to to the list - we noticed while putting up the shade shade, that there was water in one section of the gutters so a new downpipe was installed and the beading on one of the doors was coming off.

Plus then there are things we have decided to change like the bookcase in the kitchen. 

Pre renos it looked like this - 

Post reno we felt that it was a little too closed in or cluttered and had lost its uniqueness (even after moving all the books). There was discussion about moving it completely but we struggled to find a suitable wall to put it on.

In the end Paul suggested cutting off the ends which is what we he did and I think this does the trick. Now just to decide on a buffet/sideboard for underneath!
