Garden Growth

I love it when winter begins to disappear and the hints of spring emerge. Harvesting the last of the winter produce - kale, snow peas, broadbeans and peas. Watching the potatoes sprout and red cabbage take off with gusto. Preparing the veggie patch and purchasing new seedlings.

Poppies have self seeded in and around the veggie beds adding a splash of colour. Lots of flowers are blossoming. The waratah has had an especially great spring with many flower heads.

The crabapple always puts on a good show and so does the pacific blue although it's getting tall and most of the flowers are on the top.

The climbing clematis brightens up the fence as does the big and bold flower head of the clivia lily.
