Hello Skittles

Ella has been lucky enough to inherit from Aoife's cousin Lily, a beautiful young boy budgie called Skittles. Only a year old, Skittles is a social little fellow who formed a very strong bond with Lily's dog Cooper. It was Cooper's obsession (possibly a border collie trait) that led him to watch and stare at Skittles and thus no longer interacted with any other family member, that lead to Ella acquiring him. Although Lily loved Skittles, her and her family wanted Cooper back. After an introductory meeting, Skittles returned home with Ella for a week long trial.

Ella was instantly sold as she was desperate to have another bird. Skittles was a very different character to Bijou. Skittles is very chirpy and chatty and loves flying around. Although he is confident to land on Ella's head or shoulder, he does not like to be picked up or held like Bijou did. 

It was funny when Skittles spotted Pippa and thought oh great there's the dog and flew down to meet her. Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately) Pippa's eyesight is not as sharp as it used to be and she didn't notice him at first. It was only when she was lying down at one point and Skittles walked right up to Pippa's nose that she got a fright and didn't really know what this thing was or what to do! We are slowly getting used to each other!
