Basil Bonanza

The basil in the garden went nuts and was beginning to go to seed. Time for homemade basil pesto! Pulled up three plants, washed the leaves before making several small bags of pesto which I put in the freezer to use at a later date. The remaining basil plants are still growing well although it's only a matter of time before the first frost comes and wreak havoc!
