Noodles

Little kids really are surprising at times.

Tonight was a pretty normal night. We had pasta for dinner (home made sweet potato gnocchi which Ella rejected; and had noodles instead) then bathtime. I struggled for half an hour to dress Ella before Nat intervened, and milk time followed. The bottle of milk was finished before things started to seriously unravel. First it was a little burp, followed by a tiny spew towards the couch, and then it all came up (I'm talking about Ella here, not Nat). We didn't have the foresight to shift Ella sufficiently far from the rug, so we grabbed some towels to try and stop the flow and clean up before it soaked in.

Now a normal person would expect to feel pretty down after an episode like this -- maybe crawl off to bed and feel sorry for one's self. But Ella seemed completely unshaken. So unperturbed that when she looked down at her filthy top, all she could think to say was: "Look, noodle" and tried to shove the offending article back in her mouth....

That is sooooo grose! we have had a couple of the power spews, but they have inevitably ended in tears not eating the spew!I can't wait for your guys to get here, it is going to be very cool. And yes that was our bike trailer in the Ashley dancing video.
