Ludlow Tuart Forest, the only remaining tall Tuart forest in the world seemed liked a great spot for a picnic, so off the main highway we went. It took a lot longer than expected to find an appropriate spot for lunch but we stumbled over the Tuart Discovery trail, a 700m trail through the forest, with a conveniently placed shelter halfway around for lunch. Unfortunately the flies thought it was lunchtime too and loved to annoy everyone.
All worked out well and soon we were pulling into the caravan park where Heather, Adrian, Matthew and Joshua were holidaying. Down to the beach we went. A rather stiff sea breeze made for choppy water conditions but that didn't matter as the kids found enjoyment playing in the sand!
