Renos - Day 52.1

Richard the tiler was hard at work when we dropped by on Saturday. We are really happy with the quality of his work. Paul was also tinkering with various things.

Hearth done and stove moved in.

Bedroom door on!

Wall tiles in the main bathroom completed! The toilet is there but not connected yet.

Laundry and store floor tiles finished.

Renos - Day 52

And the bedroom floor is complete!

More tiling took place in the main bathroom!

Modern Day Handball

Back in the day both Andy and I played handball at school so when the girls were introduced to handball thanks to their cousins we reminisced but oh how time changes! The following day, Ella especially was keen to play handball in the ready made string court on Nana's back deck (yes we are still here).

Andy ventured out only to be educated on the modern day rules of handball. The two positions remained the same - Ace and Dunce however Andy was introduced to many tricky moves scoops, cherries, grabs, fulls and my favourite ghosts - where you play the ball and then jump into your opponents square, trying to put them off by making oooo noises and wiggling about!! Fun times.

Renos - Day 51

Exciting times...the floor tiles in the bathroom and ensuite were finished off and Richard the tiler was bus finishing the laundry and storeroom when I arrived this afternoon!

Paul, Matt and Tom had begun laying the timber floor in our bedroom! Things are moving along once again :)

Happy 70th Birthday Nana

Canberra Nana has reached 70! Such a landmark deserves special attention so we thought a family dinner out would be nice and it was. Meet Sing in Lyneham lived up to its reputation once again. Those snow shoes will definitely come in handy for our upcoming ski trip (just hoping there is a bit more snow than there is currently...)

Renos - Day 50

And it all changed in a blink of an eye. Expecting nothing to happen until tomorrow we had a nice surprise to see the tiler had begun laying the floor tiles in the main bathroom and ensuite!

Andy had a good catch up chat with Paul and perhaps the end is in sight (well except for the painting which will probably get done over a lengthy period of time when we are back in the house!)

Renos - Day 48

Nothing new to report - no-one on site today.
