Keeping Dad Awake

Andy flew home on Saturday morning arriving into Canberra at 10am after a slight delay in Melbourne. It was a typical lovely sunny cold winters day and with the Saturday orienteering being held at the nature park just down the road and no soccer, we thought we couldn't let this opportunity pass. On the way back from the airport we stopped at the house so Andy could see the changes that he had missed during the two weeks he was away for. This meant we were pushed for time to make the midday start but we got there.

Both girls decided to do the blue course. Ella wanted to be shadowed by Andy and Katy was happy to go around with me. Was nice just be able to focus on one little person for a change! Good undulating course.

After lunch and play with Cathy and kids, Andy headed out for a bike ride in attempt to stay awake before taking Katy to a late afternoon movie birthday party. He managed to pick her up, eat some dinner and read Katy a story before crashing by 7pm.

It's been 5 days since he arrived home and this morning was the first time he has slept past 4.30am! Hopefully the days of jet lag have come to an end!
