Lollipop legs and Holly returned to the veggie patch after 4 month hiatus and did a fantastic job of turning over the soil post weeding. I managed to plant lots of seedling - tomatoes, zucchinis, potatoes, capsicum, eggplant, various lettuce, lebanese cucumber and beetroot! Although not in the veggie patch, I also purchased two blueberry plants and am excited to see how these grow.
It's now 3 weeks later - the cucumber has disappeared (thanks to the possums) but everything else is doing ok despite this crazy November weather - cold, wet and hot. Unfortunately we received a letter in the mail this week from icon water advising us that they will be cleaning the sewer sometime over the next four weeks. Only problem is that the sewer manhole is in the middle of the veggie patch. I think it is the first time in 8 years that someone has wanted access to the manhole. Hopefully their big feet don't squash too many of my seedlings.
