Hello Mr Hairylegs!

Yep one of the Hairylegs has emerged from its cocoon! It was still looking rather crinkled as it hung from a stick inside the terrarium. Thanks to google I think that this one is a Mr due to the large feathery bipinnate antenna

With the knowledge that these moths only live for 2-3 days as they have no functional mouth, the girls had a quick hold each before relocating Mr Hairylegs outside to enjoy his short life.







And as for Mrs Hairylegs, she (yet to be confirmed) is still happily tucked up in her cocoon....
