Snow Experiences

With the boys struggling to get out of bed (possibly too much wine last night?), our family and Julien wandered down to the bridge over the Torrent du Gâ in search for a suitable area to learn and test out the avalanche beacons.

Julien explained how the beacons work in transmit and search modes. We then played hide and seek using the beacons with the girls doing the hiding. Great practical learning.

Next on the agenda was a snowball fight! Dividing into two teams, we built our forts on either side of the bridge before making ammunition. Rules were stated with our aim to destroy the opposition's fort. Then the fun began! A lovely way to finish our time in the snow.

Returning to the gite, we cleaned, packed and said our goodbyes!
