Soccer Opportunities

Mia's soccer team were lucky enough to be asked to be involved in the Socceroo v's Nepal match in Canberra. Most of the extended family took up the offer of free tickets to the match held on a cold Thursday night in October at the AIS.

Dressed in a blue tracksuit with a clear raincoat poncho, we finally spotted Mia, who was one of the ball people on the fair side of the pitch. Not sure if she got to retrieve many balls but her and her team mates had fun and a great view from the sideline! As for the match, the Socceroos dominated the Nepalese side winning 5-0.

With the match finishing at 9.45pm we hightailed it to the car. Unfortunately the other 18,000 people also had the same idea which resulted in a traffic jam in the carpark!! We inched our way out and finally made it to the exit some 45mins later!! Despite being only 10mins from home, we had to drop Nana back to her place so it ended up being a  very late night for a school night for our girls.
