Chilly Canberra

We have been greeted by many freezing mornings recently and have been observing the birdbath in the front garden of Nana's as our temperature gauge....with both girls sprinting out to door to discover just how frozen the water is!

Saturday was no different except the girls were dressed in their soccer gear, it was 10am and the fog hadn't lifted. The birdbath water still had evidence of ice. We arrived at soccer with girls complaining a little about the cold (the car said 3°C) I some encouragement by saying that the sun would soon would burn off the fog and it would warm up. Famous last words!

Ella started on the sideline, so unfortunately I only got to watch about 5 minutes of her playing before I headed off in the fog with Katy to peewees. Katy decided to pull her bib on over the top of her puffy  (wise girl) and subsequently played with her hands in her pockets for most of the first match!

Despite the cold conditions both girls had fun and certainly deserved and enjoyed the hot chocolate afterwards. I think the fog lifted around 2pm and the top temperature was around 8°C!
