Blossoming

Katy is certainly growing in confidence as demonstrated by her recent appointment as the student representative for her Year 1 class.  At Aranda PS, the SRC reps serve 6 months attending a fortnightly meeting to discuss and problem solve any school issues as well as suggest potential fund raising activities.

The old cohort of SRC reps welcomed the new group at a whole school assembly. Each new inductee received their wrist band from the principal, Mr Gray. Katy was quite anxious about shaking Mr Gray's hand but solved that problem by exclaiming on the morning of the assembly that she was going to imagine that she was shaking her teacher's hand instead!

She did a fine job at the assembly, proudly watched on by Nana and myself as well as Ella who was on stage as the outgoing SRC for her class.
