Delayed Start to our Holiday

We skipped away down to Tathra for a few days during the school holidays. With Andy at work, my job was to finish packing the car and pick him up from uni at 2pm after his teaching had finished. As we left the house we called to let him know that we were leaving - perfect timing as he was walking out to unlock my bike (long story there - but we were limited to only taking 2 bikes thanks to surfboards taking up space on the roof) and ride back across campus to meet us at his office.

We arrived a few minutes later at said destination with no Andy in sight, so we parked and waited. My phone rang breaking the silence. It was Andy - he had borrowed an old lock of mine and was having trouble with the combination. He wanted to know what the code was! Over the phone he tried numerous combination without any luck, so I drove over to see if I could crack the code. A few goes and it wasn't opening for me either so next resort was to find some tools.

Andy headed back over to his lab, found Kyle and an assortment of tools. It took them about a minute armed with a pair of pliers to cut through the multiple wires on our decent bike lock to free the bike which was then secured on to the roof. After a 45 mins delay we were finally on our way to the coast!! I must say after having my bike stolen last year and today's incident, I have no faith whatsoever in the wire bike locks. They really are quite easy to cut through.
