Post breakfast and coffee, we rounded up the troops and once again headed to the main beach in search of better waves. Nadine, Sean and Lily had arrived and joined us on the beach. Lily was definitely determined and showed us all up catching numerous waves into the shore. Ella and Andy were persistent with varying success. Cath and I had lots of fun laughing at our feeble attempts to stand up! Aoife and Katy were both reluctant opting to play in the surf or dig in the sand!
As we trickled out of the water again tired and cold, we stood on the beach recovering and were rewarding with a few white splashes far off on the horizon - a few whales were frolicking as they made their return journey south back to their Antarctic home.
Later that afternoon after a failed attempt to have coffee at the Tathra historic wharf, we walked via the headland back to the car and were lucky to see another few whales much closer this timebsplashing around.
