There has been movement on the building site next-door! Trenches dug and pipes laid. The big question is will the slab be poured before Christmas? Time will tell!
Christmas parties have begun. There was my work at Muse a lovely bookcase / restaurant in Kingston. I arrived late (fashionably) after dropping Ella off to athletics comp and picking up Andy from the airport. He conveniently dropped me at the restaurant and then proceeded back to the aths track to watch Ella finish her event. Meanwhile Katy was at home fending for herself!
Then we had Andy's Christmas walk / picnic held out at Bulls Head Reserve in Namadgi National Park an hour from Canberra. What would have been a lovely occasion for us was rushed due to prior commitments - orienteering, aths training, aths afternoon gathering…anyhow we dragged Katy along and played frisbee while we waited for Andy's colleagues to return from the mid morning walk. A communal gathering of international food made for a delicious lunch.

Unfortunately for us and fortunately for Mira (who will be looking after the chickens while we are away) the raspberries have just begun to ripen. Picked my first handful and they were delicious!
