SW Tour - Day 4

An early morning walk to soak up the last views of Lucky Bay (before the 4WD's spoilt the views) as we would be saying goodbye to this gorgeous place. Although we didn't see any close up kangaroos on the beach, we could make out a couple in the far distant drawing the attention of a few of the early morning walkers.

From Lucky Bay we made our way into Esperance. A coffee shop provided us the space to charge up our phones / computers a little and reconnect to the world. There was no rush this morning - our main focus was to be at the Esperance airport to pick up Ella who would be arriving on the mid morning flight. We were all excited to be reunited with her!

Back to Esperance to stock up on food. Ella also managed to find a conveniently located phone shop opposite the supermarket and was able to have her shattered phone screen replaced within an hour! Bakery lunch in the park completed our jobs and we were once again on the road heading towards tonights campground 4 Mile Beach, situated on the eastern edge of Fitzgerald River NP just out of Hopetown a mere 2 hour drive.

Arriving late afternoon, we parked the camper and went to check out the beach. It was windy with the easterly. After a family consultation, Andy and Ella decided to go for a run while Katy and I drove the short distance to the next more sheltered Barren Beach. What a beautiful spot! After a dip, we swapped - Katy and I walked home via the beach while Andy and Ella drove.

Post shower and dinner, we strolled back to Barren beach to soak up a sensational sunset!
