Weekend Work

We are discovering the constant stream of jobs related to the renovations which make for busier weekends! Our first weekend was spent packing up and re-organising the house. We had sourced numerous boxes so began the tasking of sorting, prioritising and packing stuff (read most of the house) that won't be seen for another 4-6 months! We also had to dismantle furniture and move beds around. Andy and I have relocated to the study nook and the girls are in our bedroom.

 

In between this we began the long and tiring process of cleaning bricks. The bricks from Ella's wall are to be re-used for the footings around the extension bit. We chipped and scrapped the mortar from 450 bricks. The girls 'helped' to begin with but found it quite hard so disappeared inside. It was slow going at first until we found our rhythm and sped up a little! These bricks were neatly stack ready for Paul on Monday morning. We were all pretty exhausted and definitely not refreshed to start the working week!!
