Pleased with the variety of ear rings made, she brought up the idea one Sunday morning of selling them. We chatted about the possibly of a stall at our local Trash 'n' treasure and decided the cost of having a spot would outweigh any profit made. It was then I suggested that she set up a stall outside our local IGA and next to the coffee shop. She was keen.
Unbeknownst to me she had already named her business Beading Hearts. We used our large cork board to make a display for her best ear rings. Armed with a couple of chairs, a picnic throw plus a book, we headed off to our local. Once set up, Katy and I made our way over to the playground leaving a very nervous Ella to it.
After 45 minutes though, she'd had enough and was visibly annoyed / disappointed not to have sold a single set of ear rings. Back at home and once she'd calmed down, we talked through the reasons why her wonderful creations hadn't sold and concluded small business is tricky. Anyway if anyone is interested in a new pair of ear rings feel free to contact Ella, I'm sure she'd be ecstatic to hear from you!
