MIA

With work closing down before Christmas, I also got into the cleaning bug and transformed the pond. It unfortunately tends to collect lots of plant matter, which in turn creates a wonderful environment for algae to bloom and as our solar pump is teeny tiny, it's unable to filter out much of the gunk.

In doing so I discovered that Dragonfly, one of the newish fish was MIA! So at the moment we have Silly Sea and Comet from the original bunch plus the three newbies - Goldie, Pearlie and Jazzy.

I took the opportunity to repot the rush and reorganise the plants in the hope that our geriatric blind and deaf dog, Pippa is deterred from falling in (unfortunately that isn't the case!) And so for a little while we could see the fish, however the water is slowly going greener by the day and usually you can only see some of the fish first thing in the morning when they tend to hang out near the surface. As for the dry river bed, well that's still patiently waiting for some rocks to magically appear!!
